How the world has changed since my last post about the 2020 Writer-in-Residence, Liz Smith. Due to the COVID pandemic, Liz has remained in the position. Unfortunately, she’s had little opportunity to ride and write on the Interisland ferry due to concerns about COVID transmission, but I’m hopeful she’ll be able to resume the post this summer. I’m also dreaming of putting out a call for the next Writer-in-Residence sometime in the fall.
